We are partnering with the Jeju National University (Korea) to teach the Korean students English as a Second Language (ESL).
Our teaching site is located on idyllic Jeju Island, an island of many tales and legends. Jeju is selected as one of the 28 finalists of the New7Wonders of Nature in the world. (1) Public School Classroom Teachers (Grades 3-6) - Starting April, May or June, 2011
We are seeking male or female teachers of great talent and credentials for our English programs to teach in a public elementary school in Jeju Island while holding a position with the Jeju National University. The goal of this program is to teach students in an environment similar to a typical public school classroom in the United States.The main focus is to teach English (ESL) but this setup enables the students to learn not only ESL but also other subjects in English.
You will teach in a public or private school in jeju Island, while holding a faculty position with the Jeju National University. Classroom management skill for elementary students of the above age group (grades 3-6) is an important requirement for this position. In addition, familiarity with the U.S. public school curriculum is required.
Minimum qualifications:
- Excellent classroom management skill/experience
- Master's degree or experience in teaching ESL or English (or other subjects)
- Teaching license in English/ESL/ELL or other teaching certificate
- Public/private school teaching experience is preferred
- Native English speaker (2nd generation Koreans are also welcome)
(2) ESL Teachers -- Open
We are also seeking ESL teachers holding a Bachelor's or higher degree with or without ESL certificate (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA, etc.). This is a general ESL teaching position that you can apply any time. If you apply for this position, please specify which age group you can teach. (Note: Some positions are not affiliated with the univeristy.)
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Teaching license in English/ESL/ELL or other teaching certificate is a plus
- Native English speaker (2nd generation Koreans are also welcome)

Contracts will be made for one year. However, 6-months can be considered for rare but exceptional cases. |
